Ride a Horse Save a Cowgirl

Snellville, GA (October 18,2011)-  Nearly every little girl dreams of one day having a horse; galloping off to far away places  to an escape known only to horse and rider.  This October, as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Circle C2-It Ranch in Snellville is making that childhood dream a reality by opening the farm to the public for its first inaugural, ‘Cowgirl 3 Day Challenge.’

The event is the brainchild of Circle C2-It Owner and Trainer, Caroline Jaffee who wanted to put an equine spin on the Komen for the Cure 3-Day.  ”We’re cowgirlin’ up for cancer,” says Jaffee, whose aunt is her inspiration for the event.  ”My aunt is a breast cancer survivor and it’s her story and her journey that I’m hoping to honor with this family fun event.  ’The 3 Day Challenge’ is for cancer patients, survivors, supporters and their families and the money raised from this great weekend will benefit other cancer patients.”  Jaffee, who’s therapeutic riding facility was been featured on FOX5 Atlanta, has committed proceeds from the Cowgirl 3 Day to fund: Saint Joseph’s Cancer Survivors scholarships, to further Survivors in The Saddle program for Saint Joseph’s oncology patients, and for equine therapy programs at the farm.

“Saint Joseph’s is honored Caroline wanted make a Saint Joseph’s patient the beneficiary of this wonderful fundraiser,” says Debbie Church, Saint Joseph’s Cancer Survivors’ Network Coordinator.  “Many of our patients find comfort through their relationships with animals and we are excited that through Circle C2-It Ranch we’ll be able to offer a therapeutic riding scholarship to a deserving patient.”
